We’re big into creating elegantly connected spaces and are constantly looking for ways to improve experiences for visitors, whether at a sports stadium or theme park. In fact, a small team at Synapse was exploring how to utilize zero UI to expand the connected experience when COVID hit, driving us to refocus our work on monitoring symptoms in crowds.
Now as venues, hospitals, retail shops, and more are reopening and transforming their operations to fit the new norm, we believe there’s a way to cleverly combine technologies into custom connected solutions to tackle a myriad of both pre and post-COVID challenges—without sacrificing the customer’s experience.
In this video, Jon Ross discusses the specific challenges of crowd temperature screening and some of the novel solutions we’ve found to overcome some of those obstacles.

The LoRaWAN protocol is efficient and flexible communication technology for IoT, but it has many specific characteristics that can make or break a successful IoT implementation. Learn about some of the LoRaWAN characteristics and what to address early on when architecting an IoT ecosystem leveraging LoRaWAN.
In this third chapter of our Demystifying IoT series, Paul Ganichot describes the roles involved in an IoT journey and how the IoT vast technical complexity translates to organizational challenges.
In this second chapter of the IoT series, we’ll show that IoT is about the “Information of Things.” The value of IoT follows the Pyramid of Knowledge, generating increasing value as data gathered from IoT devices is processed into information and the resulting knowledge & insights.
